The SHABACH MINISTRY has impacted the Charles County community with the SHABACH LIFELINE MENTORING and evangelistic outreach programs. We have formed partnerships with Malcolm Elementary School and the Malcolm Community Group. A partnership was formed with the CHARLES COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM in 2010 and a $500,000 21 st Century Grant was received. This was the first time in the history of CCPS that the grant was received after many years of applying. The 21st Century Grant helped to expand the mentoring program to five days a week and increased the number of student participants.
Currently, we have a partnership with the DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES called VISION OF HOPE. This program is designed to support students aging out of the foster care program. We also work with LIFESTYLES of SOUTHERN MARYLAND with the Safe Nights Program. Shabach has a SHEPHERD’S TABLE TEAM which feeds the homeless and needed every Wednesday and a ministerial team called the ROYALS who provide monthly ministry for the elderly at GENESIS NURSING HOME IN WALDORF.
